Providing free education in the Government run schools, enables us to teach about the dangers of single use plastic when it is thrown on the beaches and villages. We bring recycled bins for the children to use for their plastics as well as offer fun art activities around clean plastics.
Help us connect with donors for appropriate resources within the schools surrounding plastic.
Everyday we collect single use plastics from the local stores and plastic bottles from the community and expat homes.
With these plastics we make ecobricks.
Ecobricks are a sustainable way to reuse non-biodegradable waste, which can be used as building blocks to make furniture, walls and even houses. Hence, keeping the plastics out of the ecosystem prevents the contamination of the environment.
If you would like to volunteer to make ecobricks, get in touch!
Every Tuesday our team of volunteers dedicate their mornings to collect plastics from the beach. This is achieved with the help from tourists, the local community, Masai and expats.
The plastics are then sorted into reusable plastics for ecobricks and those which need to be disposed of by larger environmental organisations.
The methods we adopt ensure that plastics are not disposed of in the community, village or forest dump sites.
